WebSolution web pages are divided up into zones that contain website content. Some of the zones that may be found on a web page include header, title, left, main, right and footer.
The number of zones that exist on a given web page depends on how a particular website is setup. Zone content can be tailored depending on web page type (home, document or folder) and where a web page sits within the overall hierarchy of web pages.

The anatomy of a web page.
The header zone, generally located at the top of every web page, normally contains a logo that identifies your website along with hyperlinks to commonly requested web pages. The title zone most commonly sits below the header zone and displays information about the web page that is currently being viewed. The left and right zones, when visible, generally flank the main zone and contain links to other web pages and adverts.
Most of the time, when you create a new web page within your website, the content of ancillary zones (all zones except main) is populated automatically. However, it is your responsibility to populate the main zone of a web page, for example with a news story, a press release, a poll, a set of photos or some other piece of content.

The diagram above illustrates the concept of content inheritance. Two web pages are shown: the root homepage and a blog entry entitled "New Website Launched". The layout of the two pages is slightly different as the blog entry does not have a left zone. However, all other zones exist in both web pages and for all zones except main, content is inherited. The task of creating a new blog entry is therefore reduced to supplying content for the main zone.
