Poll

A poll element displays a question or statement and a number of possible answers or options. Visitors to your website can then choose to vote for a particular option. Once a visitor has cast a vote, they are then able to view the votes that have been cast for each option.

When in administration mode, click the Edit hyperlink above a poll to update it.

To add a new poll option, click the New button.

To create a new poll option, you must enter text that describes the option you are creating, and then hit the Create button. To update a poll option, click the Edit hyperlink that appears next to that poll option. On the resulting screen, you will be able to update the poll option text. Finally, click the Update button to commit your poll option changes.

To delete a poll option, tick the check box that appears next to that option. Then click the Delete button. To re-order the poll options, tick the check box next to one of the options. Then use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to move the selected poll option up or down the list.

It should be noted that when a poll is updated, votes cast for each option are not lost unless a poll option is actually deleted.

Finally, when you have finished updating a poll element, click the OK button to return to the previous page. You should not use your browser's back button.
