The Show Profile Management Tabs checkbox controls whether or not tabs for managing user profiles are automatically added to a header element. With this option switched on, two tabs are automatically added to the end of a header element. If a user is not logged on to your website, then the tabs Login and Register will be appended. If a user has registered and is logged on to your website, then the tabs Profile and Logoff will be appended.

Below the Show Profile Management Tabs checkbox is a list of header tabs. This list controls the tabs that appear before any profile management tabs on a header element.

To add a new tab, click the New button.

Creating a new header tab
Creating a new header tab. In the example shown above, the web page "Contact the Charter Quay Residents' Association" is added being added to a header element. As the web page title is really too long to appear on a header tab, a shorter alternative is provided (namely, "Contact").

To create a new tab, you must specify the web page that the tab corresponds to and the text that should appear on the new tab. If no text is specified, then the title of the specified web page is used instead. You can specify a web page by entering its title. If more than one web page exists with the same title, you must be more specific about how you select a web page. For example, suppose your website contains two folders with title "2008", one with parent folder "Photos" and the other with parent folder "Events". Then you would need to enter "Photos, 2008" or "Events, 2008" rather than "2008". Click the Create button to actually create the new tab.

To update a header tab, click the Edit hyperlink that appears next to that tab. On the resulting screen, you will be able to update the web page that the tab corresponds to and the text that should appear on the tab. Finally, click the Update button to commit your header tab changes.

To delete a header tab, tick the check box that appears next to that tab. Then click the Delete button. To re-order the header tabs, tick the check box next to one of the tabs. Then use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to move the selected tab up or down the list.

Finally, when you have finished updating a header element, click the OK button to return to the previous page. You should not use your browser's back button.
