Elements are the building blocks that provide content for your WebSolution website. In order to update existing website content, you should visit your website's logon page and enter the username and password of an administrator account. After a successful logon, the control panel will be visible at the top of the active web page.

Control panel (administration mode on).
Click the Activate Admin button to switch on administration mode. The appearance of the active web page will change to reveal hyperlinks, not visible to the general public, for administering your website. In particular, up to five hyperlinks will become visible above each element and these are described below.

In administration mode, up to five hyperlinks (Edit, Tag / De-Tag, Up, Down and Delete) appear above each element.
The Edit hyperlink is used to update an element. If another administrator is already updating a particular element, then this option will be unavailable. It is not possible for two administrators to update an element at the same time.
Click the Tag hyperlink to tag an element. Once an element is tagged, it can be copied or shared to other areas of your website. It is only possible to tag elements that are live (i.e. committed) and have no changes pending. Once an element is tagged, the Tag hyperlink changes to De-tag. Click De-tag to remove an element's tag.
Any number of elements can be placed in a web page zone. The order of elements within a zone can be changed by clicking the up and down hyperlinks. These options are unavailable when content is inherited from a zone that exists on a web page further up the web page hierarchy. They are also unavailable if another administrator is already administering the zone an element belongs to.
The delete hyperlink deletes an element. When you click delete, a message box is displayed that asks you whether you really want to delete the selected element. Click OK to delete the element or Cancel to leave the element alone. If an element is being updated by another administrator, then the delete option will be unavailable. Delete is also unavailable if another administrator is already administering the zone an element belongs to.
When you click an element's Edit hyperlink, you will be taken to a web page for editing or updating the selected element. The format of this page is dependent on the type of element. However, two fields that appear on this page are common to all element types. These are Element Title and Display Title.

The Element Title and Display Title fields.
The Element Title field allows you to specify a title or name for an element. It is considered good practice to enter a title for every element you add to your website. However, this is not mandatory and the Element Title field may be left blank. The Display Title check box field controls whether or not an element's title is displayed on a web page.
When you have finished editing an element, you should click the OK button at the bottom of the page. Do not hit the back button in you browser. Even if you do not wish to make any changes to an element, you should click the OK button to return to the previous page.
Finally, none of the changes that you make by clicking Edit, Up, Down or Delete are made live until they are committed by clicking the Commit Changes button in the control panel.
